Park Central designated LEED Platinum!

LEED_platinum_grey.jpg

We are pleased to announce that Park Central has achieved LEED Platinum!  This is the highest LEED rating and quite the accomplishment.

Projects pursuing LEED certification earn points across several categories: Location & Transportation, Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, Innovation and more.  Green building is the practice of designing, constructing and operating buildings to maximize occupant health and productivity, use fewer resources, reduce waste and negative environmental impacts, and decrease life cycle costs.

The JLL property team will be implementing new programs in 2019 that will enhance the building’s sustainability program:  a composting service, the installation of EV stations in the parking garage, and the opening of our new bike amenity space further promoting alternative modes of transportation.

We are very excited about Park Central’s new LEED Platinum designation and invite the tenant community to share any thoughts toward strengthening building sustainability measures.

Energize Denver

Park Central was named the 1st Place Energize Denver Energy Saving Retrofit winner for 2021!

1200px-Energy_Star_logo.svg.pngAs part of the city’s 80x50 plan, Denver has set goals for commercial and multi-family buildings to reduce energy usage 10% by 2020 and 30% by 2030.  Reducing energy use in large buildings is essential to meeting Denver’s overarching goal of reducing total greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050.  Winners in the energy efficiency category were identified through benchmarking data that is collected by the city each year. This category was open to office, multifamily and hotel buildings and the award is presented to a building with the highest year-over-year energy savings.   Park Central is proud to be recognized as a leader within the community for energy efficiency in building operations.

Below you will find the link to Park Central’s Sustainability Guide and Checklist.

By following these guidelines, many businesses have found that reducing the amount of solid waste and conserving natural resources, such as energy and water, can result in cost savings and improve the work environment, thereby increasing employee retention rates and enhancing worker productivity and satisfaction.

We encourage tenants to use these resources to create awareness and set “green” goals for your office. JLL appreciates your support and effort as we strive to achieve the building’s sustainability goals.
